Paul Ryan has over 50 years of experience in the Pension and Investment Industry. Throughout his distinguished career, he has achieved Pensioneer Trustee Status and is a Fellow of the Irish Institute of Pension Managers, underscoring his deep expertise in pension management.

Paul is an active member and the current Treasurer of the Association of Pensioneer Trustees of Ireland. He is also a member of the Irish Institute of Pension Managers, further solidifying his standing as a trusted authority in the field. In addition, Paul is the founder and director of Paul Ryan Financial Advisors Limited, where he continues to provide expert guidance to clients. Prior to establishing his consultancy, Paul served as a Director at Goodbody Stockbrokers, a role that honed his leadership and financial management skills.

Beyond his professional endeavours, Paul contributes to his community by serving on the boards and committees of several charities. In his personal life, he enjoys traveling and cherishing time with his extended family and grandchildren.

Alan holds a BSc in Business and an MSc in Marketing from UCD Smurfit Business School. With 25 years of industry experience in Pensions and Investments, Alan has established himself as a trusted expert in the field.

Alan is a member of the Life Assurance Association of Ireland and a fully qualified QFA. He is also an Associate of the Irish Institute of Pension Managers (AIIPM). In addition to his QFA Professional Qualification, he has completed the LIA Pensions Diploma, the Professional Certificate in DC Pension Scheme Trusteeship, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning. Alan is a Revenue Approved Trustee and has previously served as Treasurer of APTI (Association of Pensioneer Trustees of Ireland).

Currently, Alan is further advancing his expertise by pursuing the CFP Certified Financial Planning certification. His extensive qualifications and dedication to continuous learning underscore his commitment to delivering exceptional financial planning and risk advisory services.

Outside of work, Alan enjoys camping with his wife Gina and their two boys. He also loves traveling, playing golf, and tennis.

Claire is the Operations Manager at Paul Ryan Financial Advisers, bringing over 25 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry. Her career began in 1997 with Hibernian (now Aviva), where she held a variety of roles across operations, project management, compliance, and HR. In 2016, she was appointed Interim Head of HR, a role that reflected her breadth of experience and leadership capability.

Since joining Paul Ryan Financial Advisers in March 2017, Claire has applied her deep industry knowledge and strategic insight to support the firm’s operational efficiency and growth. Her diverse background enables her to manage complex processes and contribute meaningfully across multiple facets of the business.

Outside of work, Claire is a proud mum to two boys. She enjoys staying active through running and takes every opportunity to travel and explore new places.

Gina plays a key role in the smooth running of the Paul Ryan office, supporting the operations team with a wide range of day-to-day administrative duties. With extensive experience in office administration, Gina ensures that the back-office functions run efficiently and effectively.

Balancing her professional responsibilities with a busy home life raising two children and managing the family household, Gina brings strong organisational skills, dedication, and a positive attitude to everything she does. Her motivation and consistent work ethic make her an invaluable part of the team.

Billy McGovern is a highly skilled and accomplished financial services professional with extensive experience in Pensions and Investments. With qualifications as a Qualified Financial Adviser (QFA), Specialist Investment Adviser  (SIA), Retirement Planning Adviser (RPA), and Pensions Trustee Practitioner (PTP), Billy brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his work with clients.

Currently working at Paul Ryan Financial Advisors, Billy has previously held roles in the ARF team in Standard Life Ireland and group pensions with Capita Employee Benefits, where he has consistently delivered exceptional service and value to individuals and organisations alike. His focus is on providing strategic guidance on retirement planning, investment strategies, and employee benefits, always ensuring that the financial goals of his clients are met with tailored, practical solutions.

Billy is known for his understanding of the Irish financial landscape, including pensions, investments, and tax-efficient planning. His dedication to ongoing professional development and his client-centred approach have earned him a reputation for building long-term relationships based on trust and results.

Grainne Kearns brings over 17 years of experience in the financial services industry, with a strong specialisation in pensions and retirement planning. She began her career with Aviva on the Ark Life Pensions Team before moving to PwC as a Pension Consultant, where she developed deep expertise in full-service Defined Contribution (DC) Scheme Portfolio Management.

A Qualified Financial Advisor, Gráinne also holds a Professional Diploma in Retirement Planning Advice, a Professional Certificate in DC Pension Scheme Trusteeship, and a Certificate in Compliance. Her technical knowledge of pensions is complemented by a strong grasp of regulatory frameworks and hands-on scheme administration.

In her current role as Head of the Small Self-Administered Pension (SSAP) team at Paul Ryan, Grainne is committed to delivering exceptional service to clients, while also leading the growth and development of our business and cultivating new client relationships.

Denise joined the team in October 2021, bringing with her 14 years of extensive experience in the Finance Industry, gained during her tenure at Aviva. Over the course of her career at Aviva, Denise held a variety of roles, ranging from SME responsibilities to leading a team of 14 people. Seeking a new perspective, Denise decided to transition to the sales side of finance to broaden her expertise.

Denise began her journey at Paul Ryan Financial Advisors Limited as a Paraplanner, and her role has since evolved into that of a Junior Financial Advisor. She is deeply passionate about financial planning and takes great pride in the Factfinding process, which allows her to gain a thorough understanding of her clients and their needs. Denise continues to garner professional advancement by successfully completing her exams in an effort to further enhance her career and provide the best advice to our clients.

Outside of work, Denise stays busy managing her young family and caring for her beloved fur baby, balancing her professional and personal life with enthusiasm and dedication.
